Ranitidine Uses
Ranitidine HCL is used for the treatment of active duodenal ulcer symptoms or for maintenance therapy for duodenal ulcer treatment.
How to Take Ranitidine
Take ranitidine-hcl 150 mg tablets twice daily or 300 mg ranitidine tablets once daily depending on your ulcer duodenal symptoms and what is most convenient for you. It is recommended that you take ranitidine before bedtime for best duodenal ulcer treatment results. Take each dose with a full glass of water for duodenal ulcer symptoms.
Warnings & Precautions
If you are breast-feeding, talk to your doctor before taking ranitidine-hcl. Ranitidine-hcl is secreted in breast milk. Do not stop taking ranitidine ulcer duodenal symptoms without first talking to your doctor.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of ranitidine, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up on duodenal ulcer treatment.
Possible Ranitidine Side Effects
The possible ranitidine side effects that may occur during treatment are: constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort or pain, and headache.
